Wishes #3

Lately, I have been doing this thing where I put a million things in my basket on countless online store sites and then never buy a thing. Why? Because I am broke. And I consider this my way of "window shopping" via the internet.  Most of the items I have pinned so that when I do acquire some shopping money, I know what to buy, but for sites such as ASOS and Forever 21, I have $300 worth of items in my basket just sitting there because I can't let them go... Pathetic, I know. BUT, here are some of my top picks for when I do acquire the above stated money!

Also, the past two days have seen some horrible natural disasters across the south east, especially in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Alabama.  I pray for those who lost their lives, livelihood, and loved ones and all others who were effected in any way by the weather. I was fortunate enough to only have to sit in my dorm hall for a couple of hours with no physical damage here in Starkville, but I know a lot of people who lost everything, and I pray they find strength in the Lord.

2 Corinthian 4:17-18
"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Have a blessed Wednesday!

I'm a little birdie in a big old tree, ain't nobody looking for me...

jean shorts (similar) // cross-body (thrifted) // sunnies // necklace (made by me) // white converse

This outfit is a combination of two of my favorite things: John Mayer and Converse.  Need I say more? In love with this easy, casual outfit.

Happy Monday!

Life as of late...

My friend Adalyn and I at her senior prom (my brother as her date)!
Her dress is absolutely gorgeous!
My sis-in-law (to be) at her confirmation last Saturday. She became Catholic!!
Late night Krispy Kreme run with mom, Joseph, and Thomas after Easter mass Saturday.
When in doubt, wear the hats!
Easter lunch at Cracker Barrel. Joseph loves to not cooperate...

At the Under the Hill Saloon Wednesday night with my cousin Shaun.
A family selfie at Fat Mama's after Thomas's playoff game yesterday.
(L/R): Thomas, Uncle Joe, me, Aunt Belinda.
Ben, Mom, Joseph, Dad, Derrick's thumb, Rebecca, and Daniel

I have gone home the passed two weekends (and 3 days this week) because of my granny's illness- She's sitting peacefully in heaven watching over us now- and I have loved getting to visit with my huge family and some hometown friends.  Before these weekends, I had not been home since Christmas break because of my busyness at school! It's so refreshing to go home because of the comfort and consistent nature of a place you've lived your whole life. I never thought I would miss this place as much as I had been, and I see it as a blessing to return so frequently.  When you have a family like mine, it's hard not to miss them even a little bit.

Now I will be entering my last full week as a freshman in college (unbelievable...) and I will be home again for the summer!

Love always,
Sarah Rose

Red, Yellow, and Daisies

Dress (similar) // Booties // Purse (similar) // Sunglasses (similar)

You can't go wrong with daisies! I love the design of this dress and how comfortable it is. These booties were also a turn on because I wanted something to wear in the summer that wasn't necessarily heels, but still dressy, and these fit the criteria perfectly.  Paired with this bright yellow bag and red lips, this dress is a go-to item all year round!

Easter Pinks and Pastels

I feel like when I look at this dress, it screams Easter: pastels and bright colors! This mix makes this breezy dress perfect for spring and summer. Not to mention POCKETS!! Pair with your favorite sandals and a cardigan or wedges and a bright bag (like I did here), and you're set.

HE is risen!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
1 Peter 1:3

I hope everyone gets their fill of fried turkey/chicken (we have both!) and desert this Easter, and has a relaxing day with family and friends!

Happy Easter!

Creek Walks and Sibling Talks

Top (similar) // Jeans (old) // Necklace (similar) // Shoes Libby Story (similar) // sunglasses (similar)

Yesterday, my brother and I went exploring along the Natchez Trace. We found some of the coolest creeks and trails! It was such a beautiful day to explore and bond, and we got some pictures in, too! I'm in love with this top because it's so versatile and universally flattering, along with the fact that it's incredibly comfortable!

Hope everyone has a blessed Holy Saturday!
